Green Shores™ promotes sustainable use of shoreline ecosystems through education, planning, and design that recognizes the ecological features and functions of shoreline systems. Green Shores includes Green Shores for Coastal Development for larger scale projects and Green Shores for Homes for residential properties.
SCBC provides tools and educational programs for community residents and land-use decision-makers. This includes both introductory and detailed information on species at risk. We also provide stewardship practices guidelines for habitat restoration and protection of wildlife and species at risk.
Stewardship organizations are the heart, hands and legs of conservation and stewardship across British Columbia. We recognize the need to build capacity to support and strengthen the varied and passionate work of the BC stewardship community. We have three areas of work that provide information and support to volunteer stewardship organizations.
