Join us for a guided bird walk in Jericho Beach Park
July 26 | Tuesday | 6 – 7 PM
Stewardship Centre for BC and Birds Canada are offering a free guided bird walk through Vancouver’s Jericho Beach Park! All experience levels are welcome.
Meet the birds living in West Point Grey and learn about the everyday risks they face, including outdoor cats, and how you can keep them safe. The tour will last one hour. Bring your binoculars if you have them! Please leave your pets at home for this walk.
We will meet at the trail entrance in the East Jericho Parking Lot and make our way around the pond and forested trail loop (see image below for loop details). The trail terrain is mostly flat gravel with wooden boardwalks but does have some uneven areas. Please note the trail is not stroller or wheelchair accessible.
This event is taking place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.
This event is free of charge. No registration is required. If you have any questions, please contact Bryna at brynaturk@gmail.com.
