In-person Workshop
Protecting Cats and Birds in Point Grey
August 6 | Saturday | 1 -2 PM
Join us to learn everyday tips to keep cats and wildlife safe in West Point Grey! This is a family-friendly event, all ages welcome.
Did you know outdoor cats are the #1 source of human-related bird mortality in Canada? In this workshop, learn about what kinds of birds live in West Point Grey, where to see them, and how different species are affected by local outdoor roaming cats, among other human-related activities. We’ll also talk about where local cats might be roaming, what risks they face, and how to keep them safe!
Whether you’re a bird lover or a cat owner (or both), learn what you can do to help cats and wildlife in your community. Attend this event to learn how you can have your household be Cat and Bird-Friendly Certified and receive a free window decal.
The workshop will be drop-in, but you can RSVP via our Facebook event for event reminders.
This event is hosted by Vancouver Public Library’s West Point Grey Brunch, in partnership with Vancouver Public Library and Editors Canada.
