Jenna Falk is passionate about conservation in the Gulf Islands and BC.
Her volunteer work in stewardship, however, started many years ago in Ontario where she was an ecological restoration volunteer for the Laurel Creek Citizens Committee.
After completing a Masters in Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria, Jenna started working at the Galiano Conservancy Association (GSA) in May 2014, building on earlier volunteer activities for the GSA.
Her work on Galiano includes capacity building activities, partnership development, species-at-risk recovery, and strengthening existing and new fundraising programs. She has a special interest in planned giving as a way of enabling communities to reach their conservation goals.
Jenna also has a key role in GCA’s innovative Millard Learning Centre which provides inspiring learning opportunities to thousands of youth. She believes strongly in the need for people to make a personal connection to nature.
