This paper”s purpose is to serve as an initial exploration of the application of the “Living Rivers” concept to British Columbia by reviewing, at a general level, the scope of related initiatives for river restoration and conservation occurring in comparable jurisdictions. The subject of “Living Rivers” has a vast scope, and the number of relevant governmental and nongovernmental initiatives underway globally is truly enormous.
