New Green Shores chapter is launched in Nova Scotia
We are beyond excited to expand our Green Shores program and launch a new chapter in the Maritimes. With support from the Stewardship Centre for BC, a new Green Shores chapter is coordinated by a stellar team from the TransCoastal Adaptations.
TransCoastal Adaptations: Centre for Nature-Based Solutions is a solutions-focused, applied centre of expertise at Saint Mary’s University (SMU). Their mission is to help build climate-resilient coastal communities and ecosystems by protecting, enhancing, and restoring natural processes through innovative research and collaboration.
Green Shores in Nova Scotia will offer Nova Scotia resources, Green Shores training (Level 1 and 2), a Green Shores Local Government Working Group and support for Green Shores for Homes and Green Shores for Shoreline Development projects. Nova Scotia-based team has launched web pages and can be contacted at caytlyn.mcfadden@smu.ca.
