The results of Vancouver Bird Count, led by Harold Eyster, were published in the Journal of Animal Ecology in November 2024. Between 1997 and 2020, Greater Vancouver bird abundance reduced by 26%.

Harold Eyster, who conducted Vancouver Bird Count in 2021, shares a research update and preliminary results from his study. Harold's bird counts show declines in some bird species in Vancouver and an increase in others when compared to 1990's counts.
