Many experts warn that climate change could impact both the quantity and demand for our water supplies. SEKID has made considerable advances in managing the demand for our water supplies through the agricultural metering program and the development of a drought management strategy. It is natural at this point that the board has decided to expand this work to implement a watershed supply study to assist in measuring the impact of climate change on the district”s water supply and to develop a supply model to integrate with the demand side of our drought management plan. This report by Dobson Engineering provides the results of this initiative for the first year of the program.
