Welcome Aubrie to our Green Shores team!
Aubrie recently graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BSc in Environmental Science and a Concentration in Applied Biology. She gained strong hands-on and theoretical knowledge in environmental science throughout her degree, including climate change risks and adaptation and mitigation strategies, along with resource and environmental management. During her studies, she developed a fascination for green infrastructure and has future career aspirations in planning and creating resilient communities using our natural assets.
With a passion for protecting the environment and using nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation, Aubrie is thrilled to be joining the Stewardship Centre’s team as a Green Shores Intern. She will be assisting in research for Green Shores projects, planning and coordinating Green Shores community events, meetings, and workshops, assisting in developing online communication materials and other administrative duties.
Aubrie acknowledges that she lives and works on the traditional ancestral unceded shared territory of the Sumas and Matsqui First Nations of the Sto:lo people.
