An article on SCBC’s Green Shores program was in the latest issue of Sitelines, a bi-monthly magazine published by the BC Society of Landscape Architects (BCSLA).
Landscape architects have an important role in Green Shores. They are often both champions and practitioners of Green Shores’ sustainable approaches that protect waterfront properties while also protecting and restoring shoreline habitats.
Inclusion in this magazine is a great way of reaching more members of this important profession.
The article, “Greening Shorelines, Enhancing Resilience in a Changing Climate: Development and Delivery of Green Shores Education and Training,” was written by SCBC’s Executive Director DG Blair. It highlights the training workshops we deliver, in collaboration with the University of Victoria. As the article notes, all of our training efforts are aimed at increasing the uptake and use of Green Shores in BC.
Visit our training page to see what is coming up so you too can get involved!
